NetworkUpdate is a presented as a simple question to the user, either "Update Now" or "Skip Update". The user can either immediately update his application, or defer the update until a later time.

For example a user might have a computer connected via a slow dial-up link from a home office, hotel and airport and doesn't want to wait the 60 seconds that a large application update may require.

The following description shows how simple the process is:

  • The user launches his application
  • The user is informed of an application update.
  • The user pushes the "Update Now" button.
  • The application automatically update.
  • The user is shown a status message.
  • The user quits the update window.
  • The updated application can be launched.
